About the Forum
Ensuring America’s Competitive Future
The Standards Leadership Forum brought together policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and legal experts to examine the future of technical standards and standard essential patents (SEPs), including the role of fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) licensing.
Hosted by Save Our Standards, the Forum explored how balanced standards policies can promote innovation, competition, interoperability, and American technological leadership. Through expert panels and fireside conversations, attendees examined the legal, economic, trade, and policy issues shaping the global standards ecosystem and emerging technologies—including AI, advanced manufacturing, connected devices, and next-generation wireless communications.
